MTN Honored by Brand Africa, Recognized as Africa’s Most Admired Brand in Four Categories
MTN Group has been honored as part of the first-ever Brand Africa Hall of Fame for its significant influence on African consumers and its contribution to promoting a positive image of Africa.

MTN, a major telecom company in Africa, has been honored by Brand Africa for its positive impact on the continent. The company was inducted into the Brand Africa Hall of Fame, recognizing its efforts to improve digital access and financial inclusion.
MTN also won four top awards, making it the #1 Most Admired African Brand in:
#1 Most Admired African Brand Contributing to a Better Africa
#1 Most Admired African Brand (spontaneous recall);
#1 Most Admired Brand Doing Good for Society and the Environment; and
#1 Most Admired Telecommunications Brand
The awards are based on the 2025 Brand Africa 100 rankings, a survey covering 30+ African countries and 85% of the continent’s population and economy.
MTN's Group President and CEO, Ralph Mupita, expressed gratitude, saying it is an honor to be recognized, especially during Africa Month. He promised MTN will continue working hard to support Africa’s growth.
MTN operates in 16 countries and follows its Ambition 2025 strategy, which focuses on digital and financial inclusion. The company was also named South Africa’s most valuable brand, with a brand worth of R50.7 billion, holding this position since 2012.
